C-SPAN and Maine Public Radio

A couple of weeks ago C-SPAN video taped my book event at The Water Street Bookstore in Exeter, NH. You can see the equipment in the photo ready to roll. The talk will be aired on Book-TV shortly. Check their website for the times on the weekends. I'll also post the times here when I know the dates.

Yesterday I had an interview with Irwin Gratz on Maine Public Radio. Irwin is superb. The interview will air sometime next week on his show "Morning Edition". Check the listings on their website. The aired interview will only be 7 or 8 minutes but the full interview (about half an hour) will be available on their website at the same time. I'll post a link when I have it.

Maine- Portland and Augusta

This is going to be a busy week. Friday, November 25 I will be joining 24 other Maine writers at the Portland Public Library to sign books. We'll be there from 12-3. What a great opportunity to meet all these Maine authors and to "Buy Local." What better holiday gift than an autographed book from a Maine author. This event is a collaboration between Maine Writers and Publishers, Longfellow Books, and the Portland Public Library. Thank you to all for organizing this exciting event.

On Saturday, November 26 I will travel to Augusta to give a short talk and sign books at Barnes and Noble. This event will start at 1 pm. Hope to see a lot of Maine Facebook friends there.

I will also be at the Water Street Bookstore in Exeter, NH tomorrow night at 7pm. C-SPAN will be on hand to film this event. If you're nearby you might find this to be an interesting event. If you're not in the area I'll be posting the air dates once I have them.

Exeter, N.H. and C-SPAN

My next event is Tuesday, November 22 at 7PM at Water Street Bookstore in Exeter, N.H. I'll be giving a talk about "1812:The Navy's War" which C-SPAN will film. I'll post the air date when it is announced. Meanwhile, if you live in southern Maine or N.H. this is your chance to be on National TV. Come to the talk, ask a question and you'll be on Book-TV.

Veterans Day - Nashua, NH Booksigning

On Veterans Day (Friday, November 11) I'll be talking and signing books at Barnes and Noble in South Nashua, N.H at 7PM. This is the Barnes and Noble located at 235 Daniel Webster Highway. I'm looking forward to seeing family and friends and hope there will be some veterans in the crowd as well.

Damariscotta, Maine and Marblehead, Mass.

This week I am traveling closer to home. On Tuesday, Oct 25 I'll be speaking and signing books at the Skidompha Public Library, 184 Main St, Damariscotta, Maine. The talk is at 10 AM and is sponsored by the Maine Coast Bookstore in Damariscotta. On Wednesday, Oct 26 I'll be speaking and signing books at the Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant St in Marblehead, Ma. Baltimore and Annapolis Md this weekend

Saturday, Oct 15 I'll be at the Annapolis Bookstore, 35 Maryland Ave, in Annapolis, Md for a talk, discussion, booksigning and reception. It all starts at 4:00. Come early and you can watch a radio interview being taped by John Tegler of Captial Conversation which will be aired next week on radio stations along the east coast. The interview begins at 2PM.

Sunday, Oct 16 I'll be at Barnes and Noble at 601 East Pratt Sst, Baltimore, Md. for a talk, Q & A and booksigning. The talk begins at 1:00PM.

Barnes and Noble Tomorrow and a New Review

Mystic Seaport Museum and the Constitution Museum

This weekend I'll be discussing and signing "1812" at the Mystic Seaport Maritime Museum in Mystic, Ct and at the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown, Mass. The Mystic Seaport Maritime Bookstore event is on Friday and Saturday, Oct 7 and 8, from 1-4, The USS Constitution Museum Boostore event is on Sunday, Oct 9 from 1-3. Hoping my friends in these areas will be able to stop by and say hello.
